Hi, I’m Leah.
“Girl, you need a hobby.” -my therapist
This is how my business started. I wish I had some whimsical story about how I fell in love with photography at my high school journalism class but this passion really didn’t start until much later, after college. I was in therapy dealing with some brokenness in my past and my therapist had been listening to me talk about my type A personality and my love of cleaning (ugh! I know…) for a few weeks, so she gently encouraged me to find a hobby! I had wanted to take more quality photos of landscapes and beauty I see in nature at first but when a friend asked me to shoot her college senior photos, I fell in love with interacting with people from behind the camera and helping them come alive. I loved delivering photos that helped people see their own beauty. So I dove right in and have been loving shooting weddings, couples and brands ever since. I sorta kinda love that something I love so much was birthed out of such a raw place for me. I think this helps me show up for people in a way that exudes my gratitude and offers grace to all my clients.
My Muse
My inspiration for shooting love is my sweet husband, Reis.
Reis and I met in high school during the first week of our physics class (Hi, Mrs. Stucky!) and if you can believe it, we met because I sat in the wrong seat next to Reis. Our love for Jesus is what truly drew us together and have kept us steady ever since. I love that Reis knows me better than anyone else and that he is truly my best friend. He is my biggest fan, my adventure buddy for all our trips and travels, and is the most humble, gracious, God-loving man I know.
To us, marriage is a forever covenant with the Lord that we are committing to loving and choosing one another day after day. We believe that it’s always worth fighting for a healthy, strong marriage way beyond the altar. Reis’ love has made me brave and has humbled me more times than I can count! His love for me has made me want to see our kind of love exist all over the world!
